Baxter Man Shows Champion Boar in State Fair Swine Show

DES MOINES, IA (09/06/2011)(readMedia)-- Tim Dee of Baxter claimed the Champion Boar banner in the Poland China Swine Show judged Thursday, August 18, at the 2011 Iowa State Fair.

The Champion Gilt and Reserve Champion Boar banners went to the Olson Family of Atkins.

IXL Breeding Herds of Toledo earned Reserve Champion Gilt and Premier Exhibitor honors.

The Premier Exhibitor award is presented to the exhibitor earning the highest point total in individual breeding classes of competition.

Animals are divided according to farrowing date based on the other animals entered in the competition.
