MADISON, NJ (10/22/2012)(readMedia)-- Becht Engineering, of Liberty Corner, NJ, has been awarded the 2012 New Jersey Family Business of the Year Award in the category of companies with annual revenues over $10 million, by Fairleigh Dickinson University's Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship. The award was presented at a luncheon at Livingston's Crystal Plaza on October 17, 2012.
Celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year, the annual event selects the finest family business in the state and recognizes them at an awards luncheon in October.
Becht Engineering is a family-owned company that was founded by Charles Becht III in 1964. The business provides mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, plumbing, fire protection and structural engineering, insurance/forensic investigations, project management and construction management services. Their staff includes engineering professionals in multiple fields and licensed in twenty six states. Becht engineering has offices on both the East and West coast and is located on 22 Church Street in Liberty Corner, NJ.
The awards program, sponsored by FDU's Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship, PNC Bank, and "New Jersey Monthly" magazine, represents the only statewide effort to specifically honor family-owned companies for their significant role in the economy and contributions to the community.
Part of the Silberman College of Business since 1989, the mission of the Rothman Institute for Entrepreneurship is to teach and support entrepreneurship and innovation in the academics, business, and nonprofit communities. An outstanding entrepreneurship curriculum taught by an excellent faculty has helped make the academic program among the top 20 in the nation (as ranked by the Princeton Review).
