Becker College students selected for Millennium Fellowship

Becker College and twenty of its students have been chosen to participate in the Millennium Fellowship -- a joint project by the Millennium Campus Network (MCN), a Boston-based non-profit, and the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) -- to help achieve the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Students from more than 280 campuses across 57 countries applied to participate, but only 30 institutions were selected. Becker is the only college in Worcester chosen to host a Millennial Fellowship Program.

The Class of 2018 Millennium Fellows is comprised of more than 500 student leaders from around the globe who will spend next semester working toward the UN goals. Becker students will tackle projects that range from quality education (in partnership with Elm Park Community School); to healthy eating and refugee education (in partnership with Black Seed Farmers Market); and entrepreneurship and social business in Haiti (in partnership with Be Like Brit), as well as recycling and marine wild life conservation.

Becker College is an undergraduate and graduate, career-focused private college, providing a supportive and inclusive learning community that prepares graduates for their first to last careers. Nearly 1,800 students from the United States and around the world live and learn on the College's Worcester and Leicester campuses. With nationally recognized programs in nursing, game design and animal studies, Becker has been consistently ranked as a "Best College" for undergraduate education by The Princeton Review.
