Belchertown resident Maritza Essis elected Student Government Association President at Connecticut College
NEW LONDON, CT (04/21/2011)(readMedia)-- Maritza Essis, a junior at Connecticut College, has been elected president of the Student Government Association (SGA) for the 2011-2012 academic year.
Essis assumes many responsibilities. As president, she presides over the Student Assembly, which determines policies that directly impact students academically, socially, and personally. Also, she is a member of the Student Executive Board, which is the direct line of communication between students and the college's administration.
Essis, a 2008 graduate of The Williston Northampton School is the daughter of Marguerite Essis of Belchertown.
