Ben Fry on Central College homecoming court

PELLA, (10/02/2012)(readMedia)-- Ben Fry, a native of New London and senior at Central College, was a member of Central's homecoming court. Fry is majoring in theatre. He plans to work as a technical director for a small college or pursue a career in law enforcement.

He is involved with theatre, A Cappella Choir, Chamber Singers and Ultimate Frisbee. He is president of Alphi Psi Omega.

Each year, Central seniors are invited to nominate three men and three women from the senior class to represent Central on the homecoming court. The top five women and men are selected.

This year, the queen candidates were Cara Soukup, Alyssa Schwartz, Emily Huegel, Liz Clancy and Morgan Remick. The remaining king candidates included Cameron Van Kooten, Tyler Mason, Gary Sorich and Jack Flaherty.

Emily Huegel and Jack Flaherty were chosen by the enitre student body as queen and king.

Central College is a private, four-year, residential, liberal arts college in Pella, Iowa. Central's academic program offers 39 majors leading to a bachelor's degree along with pre-professional programs and advising. Central was recognized in the 2012 U.S.News & World Report's annual rankings of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation.
