Best Hog Call Wins the Prize

DES MOINES, IA (08/24/2022) (readMedia)-- Youth ages 5 to 16 showed off their best hog call to impress the judges on Friday, August 19, at the 2022 Iowa State Fair.

Monroe Koop of Kamrar snatched first place. Addison Denekas of Kamrar took the second place spot. Dominic Smith of Winterset achieved the third place spot.

The contest was part of "Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions" in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
