Bethany Hoogerheide named the CCIW Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Wheaton sophomore Bethany Hoogerheide has been named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Tennis Player of the Week by the conference office on Wednesday. This is the first time in Hoogerheide's career that she has earned the Player of the Week recognition.

Hoogerheide went 4-0 last week in conference competition. She and teammate Emme Lindquist went 2-0 at No. 3 doubles, beating North Central's Ellie Gallagher and Yaitova Spiegel, 8-7 on October 8, and they earned a victory against Augustana's Kalli Majewski and Leraaen Abbott (8-6) on October 12. She was 2-0 at No. 6 singles with straight-set wins over Gallagher (6-0, 6-1) and Majewski (6-2, 6-2).

Hoogerheide is a combined 22-0 in singles and doubles play so far this season.
