Binghamton Funeral Director Edward Fischer, Jr. Appointed To New Volunteer Disaster Commission

ALBANY, NY (11/15/2007)(readMedia)-- Edward Fischer, Jr. of Binghamton has been appointed to serve on the Family Assistance Commission (FAC) organized by the New York State Funeral Directors Association (NYSFDA) to respond to disasters occurring in New York State. As a FAC member, Fischer will interview survivors and process paperwork to assist in identifying and facilitating the release of remains to the next of kin. He was chosen to serve on this commission due to his extensive experience as a funeral director in New York State.

Fischer of Fisher-Scholder Funeral Home, Inc in Binghamton, NY has been a licensed funeral director for 35 years. He has had extensive experience making funeral arrangements for many families with great care and compassion.

FAC will operate under the auspices of the New York State Tribute Foundation, which is the charitable arm of NYSFDA.
