Blake Davis of Palmyra Receives Honors at National Broadcasting Society

MILLERSVILLE, PA (12/06/2010)(readMedia)-- Blake Davis, of Palmyra, Pa., a junior at Millersville University of Pennsylvania and member of the University's chapter of the National Broadcast Society (NBS) won first place for video live performance at this year's regional conference, Nov. 12-14.

Twenty-three Millersville University NBS students used their skills to create multiple award-winning productions at this year's conference, held at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Millersville's NBS chapter won nine first place production awards, five honorable mentions and a rookie of the year award.

Millersville's NBS students competed against nine other schools. Along with entering 20 productions, the students attended a variety of educational sessions during the conference. Dr. Bill Dorman, the chapter advisor, accompanied the group and produced the awards program video.
