Bloomington's Miranda Stinson Wins National Poetry Contest
EVANSVILLE, IN (05/10/2012)(readMedia)-- Miranda Stinson of Bloomington, Indiana, has won first place in the Iris N. Spencer Poetry Awards, a national contest for undergraduate students. Stinson, a graduate of Bloomington High School South, is majoring in creative writing at the University of Evansville.
The award includes a $1,500 prize and a full scholarship to the 18th Annual West Chester University Poetry Conference, June 6-9 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. At the conference, Stinson will study with the foremost poets in contemporary poetry.
