Brandon Case Honored at Western New England University

SPRINGFIELD, MA (07/02/2013)(readMedia)-- Brandon C. Case of Plantsville, Conn., received three awards during Baccalaureate ceremonies at Western New England University. Case was honored with the American Chemical Society Outstanding Graduating Senior Award, the American Institute of Chemists Foundation Award, and the Chemistry Book Prize, which are awarded to a graduating senior for academic achievement in Chemistry.
Case graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from the Honors program. He is a member of the Pi Mu Epsilon, Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies and was named in the 2012-2013 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. While at Western New England, Case worked as a supplemental instructor, teaching assistant, and tutor. He also served as president of the Chemistry Club. His senior honors thesis focused on biochemistry and was presented at the Connecticut Valley American Chemical Society Undergraduate Research Symposium. He has enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Biochemistry at Wesleyan University.
