YORK, PA (01/04/2011)(readMedia)-- York College of Pennsylvania recently elected Brian Welker of Westport to its board of trustees.

Welker graduated from York College in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in accounting and went on to earn a master's degree in finance from Loyola College in Maryland. A former employee of the U.S. Treasury Department, he is currently employed by Allianz Capital Partners, where he serves as an investment director and manages a team of professionals who invest in private equity and growth capital funds throughout the Americas. He serves on the firm's global Investment Committee and represents Allianz on numerous advisory boards.

Welker is an active alumnus of York College. He is a frequent participant in New York City Metro Area Alumni Chapter events and has hosted alumni networking events at his New York City office. Welker is also a trustee of the Greens Farms Congregational Church in Westport.
