CSUF Mihaylo College of Business and Economics

FULLERTON, CA (05/09/2013)(readMedia)-- FULLERTON, CALIF. – Members of the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda club at Cal State Fullerton's Mihaylo College competed against all FBLA-PBL chapters statewide at the State Business Leadership Conference in Ontario, Calif., over spring break. Team Mihaylo proudly won 24 medals.

Brianna Ayala of Whittier, CA received second place in the integrated marketing campaign, and will be attending nationals to compete in that category.

The competitive events included case-study presentations to judges and exams testing contestants' knowledge in nearly two dozen disciplines, from finance and international business to retail management and cyber security.

In addition to the 24 victories, the competition also provided students with a solid way to showcase their talents within the business world. FBLA-PBL focuses on giving students opportunities to develop personally and professionally through all of their activities and programs. This two-day event in particular helped students network and expand their personal contacts.

The team's top 15 medal winners will advance to the national competition in Anaheim this summer.
