Brianna Roll creates page for LHU website

Web page highlights LHU students "Making a Difference"

LOCK HAVEN, PA (06/11/2012)(readMedia)-- Lock Haven University students learned how to make a difference in the lives of many individuals this spring semester. Dr. Marlene Jensen's Internet Marketing class created webpages to showcase LHU students making a difference.

One of the students involved in the marketing project was Folcroft resident Brianna Roll. Brianna worked with Maura Budusky, Matt Barrett, and Dustin Bogaczyk to create a page about LHU students who took an alternative spring break trip to Morocco. The purpose of this trip was to aid in providing health care and English language instruction to a village in the High Atlas Mountains.

Dr. Marlene Jensen, Assistant Professor Marketing and Entrepreneurship, started this as a project for her Internet Marketing students. According to Dr. Jensen, "LHU's internet marketing students were inspired by the activities of the students they interviewed. And they were delighted their marketing skills could be used to promote such great activities!"

One of the "making a difference" web pages showcases students working on an Anti- Bullying campaign within the community. Other sites focus on involvement in an art and science program, a program working with disabled children, and even water quality issues. Working on their webpage designs, Dr. Jensen's students learned more about student involvement and developed their interviewing and web skills.
