Brittany Burnett named Panhellenic Scholar of the Month at Centre College

DANVILLE, KY (11/09/2012)(readMedia)-- Brittany Burnett of Louisville, a senior at Centre College, was named Panhellenic Scholar of the Month. She is a member of the Eta Omega chapter of Alpha Delta Pi, and holds the office of Guard. 

The Scholar of the Month program recognizes sorority women who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements and involvement in both their Greek community and the Centre community as a whole.

In addition to her activities with ADPi, Burnett is an usher at Centre's Norton Center for the Arts and an orientation  assistant. She is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana, and is currently an intern for Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site, where she is the preservation and program coordinator  assistant. In 2009 she became a member of the Board of Directors of the Mary Lynn Burnett Foundation, a scholarship-oriented organization created in memory of her mother. This organization awards college scholarships to graduating seniors who have faced difficulties in their life.

Burnett is the daughter of Douglas Burnett of Louisville and is a graduate of Christian Academy of Louisville.

Centre College, founded in 1819, is a nationally ranked liberal arts college in Danville, Ky. Centre hosted its second Vice Presidential Debate on 10.11.12, and remains the smallest college in the smallest town ever to host a general election debate.
