Brittany Lensing of Cresco, Iowa, Celebrated at Senior Recital

Huntington University Student to Perform on April 1

HUNTINGTON, IN (03/16/2011)(readMedia)-- The Huntington University Music Department invites members of the community to celebrate Brittany Lensing of Cresco, Iowa, for her senior recital on April 1. Her recital will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Longaker Recital Hall in the Merillat Centre for the Arts at Huntington University.

Lensing is a senior Bachelor of Arts music major from Cresco, Iowa. She has played the piano for 16 years. While at home in Iowa, she studied piano with Barb Larson. Lensing has played the violin for 11 years, and studied with Diane Lingen from her hometown. While at Huntington University, she has studied piano with Dr. Patricia Spedden and Kelly Freije and violin with Elizabeth Smith. Lensing was chosen to perform in the Longaker Honors Recital in the spring of 2009 as well as April of this year. She has participated in the Huntington University handbell choir, percussion in the HU wind ensemble and currently plays violin for the HU orchestra.

The recital is free and open to the public.
