Brittney Rose Getz Inducted into Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford College

SPARTANBURG, SC (04/28/2010)(readMedia)-- Wofford College senior Brittney Rose Getz was accorded Wofford College's highest academic honor Thursday, April 22, when she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

Getz is completing a B.S. degree in psychology and a B.A. in Spanish. Accepted to Wofford with an Anna Todd Wofford Scholarship, she has been named to the Dean's List each semester. Getz has been a member of the Success Initiative, the Delta Delta Delta sorority, the Sigma Delta Pi honor society, and president of the Psychology Kingdom. She was a research fellow with Wofford's Community of Scholars; conducted NSF-sponsored research in applied psychology at Clemson University during a summer session; and conducted independent research while studying abroad in Spain. A candidate for the B.S. and B.A. degrees in May 2010, Getz will enter the doctoral program in clinical psychology at the University of Louisville to begin her career as a clinical geropsychologist. Twenty-nine Wofford College students and recent graduates were initiated as members-in-course during the ceremony that marked the 69th anniversary of Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford.
