Broad Coalition Of Advocates Rally To "Get Out The Early Vote" Ahead Of Early Voting Start
NAACP, unions, immigrant rights groups and more will encourage voters to vote early and remind them our elections are safe, secure, and accessible
NEW CITY, NY (10/21/2026) (readMedia)-- Just two days before the start of early voting, a coalition of voting rights and election advocates, immigrant rights groups, labor unions, faith leaders and more will rally to get out the early vote and highlight efforts to protect voters at the polls. Throughout early voting and on Election Day, the statewide nonpartisan Election Protection program will deploy hundreds of trained poll monitors across the state to observe the voting process and assist voters in multiple languages with any questions or concerns.
Despite disinformation about the voting process, nothing has changed for voters and New Yorkers still have three ways to vote: by mail, in person during early voting, or on Election Day. Early voting begins Saturday, October 24, and runs through Sunday, November 1. The first day of early voting is a "Golden Day," and the only day that New Yorkers can register to vote and cast their ballots on the same day. To find more information on where and when to vote early, visit www.voteearlyny.org. Regardless of how they vote, voters are encouraged to take advantage of early voting and make a plan ahead of time.
