Broadcast Media Advisory for Governor Paterson's 2010-11 Budget Address

ALBANY, NY (01/18/2010)(readMedia)-- Governor David A. Paterson will deliver his 2010-11 Budget Address at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, at the Kitty Carlisle Hart Theatre, located in The Egg Center for the Performing Arts at the Empire State Plaza in Albany.

Members of the press may obtain copies of their budget media briefing binder beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, at the Hart Theatre Lounge. Additionally, at that time, PDF copies of all 2010-11 Executive Budget books will also be posted online at the Division of the Budget website.

The Hart Theatre Lounge will be open for working press to use as a filing center from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The room will have free wireless Internet access.

To facilitate an orderly distribution of budget briefing materials, media must RSVP to the Governor's Press Office by 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, to confirm attendance by emailing budgetmediarsvp@chamber.state.ny.us. Media that have RSVP'd will be required to show valid identification to enter the Hart Theatre and Hart Theatre Lounge.

Special arrangements for satellite truck parking at East Capitol Park can be made in advance by contacting the Office of General Services Press Office at (518) 474-5987.

A LIVE satellite feed for television will begin with a test pattern at 10:45 a.m. EST.

At 11:00 a.m. a FULL PROGRAM FEED FOR LIVE BROADCAST will begin. (This is a clean feed which includes closed captioning for hearing impaired – closed captioning on line 21 of the vertical interval.)
