Bryn Mawr Resident Sarah Lindsay Speaks to Class of 2011 at Drexel's 124th Commencement

PHILADELPHIA, PA (07/08/2011)(readMedia)-- Bryn Mawr resident Sarah Lindsay was a speaker on behalf of the Class of 2011 at Drexel University's commencement ceremony honoring the graduates of Drexel's College of Arts and Sciences and Drexel's Goodwin College. More than 5,000 students received degrees from Drexel this year at the University's 124th Commencement.
Lindsay received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education, a Master of Science degree in educational learning technologies, and a secondary teaching certificate in teaching English as a Second Language from Goodwin College's School of Education. She attended Harriton High School.
Honorary degree recipients at the ceremony were given to Sara Manzano-Diaz, J.D., director of the Women's Bureau at the United States Department of Labor.
Founded in 1891 in Philadelphia, Drexel is the nation's 14th largest private university and is ranked second among national universities in the U.S. News list of "Up-and-Comers." Drexel is widely recognized for its focus on experiential learning through its co-operative education program and translational research initiatives.
