Bucknell Student Team Wins International Collegiate Programming mid-Atlantic Regional
The Bucknell University Department of Computer Science team of Zach and Josh Dunbrack and Justin Kahr, all juniors, won first place in the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) mid-Atlantic regional at Wilkes University on Nov. 9. The Bucknell team solved five of the eight problems as it topped 26 teams to take top honors for the second consecutive year.
The win placed Bucknell's team in 12th place out of 154 teams in the entire mid-Atlantic region, competing against schools such as Duke University, the University of North Carolina, Virginia Tech University and the University of Maryland.
Bucknell had four teams compete in the competition, which included over 140 teams at eight sites.
