Business Council Statement on Empire Center's "Blueprint for a Better Budget"
ALBANY, NY (01/04/2010)(readMedia)-- "The Empire Center's "Blueprint for a Better Budget" demonstrates that New York could end its ongoing budget crisis by lowering the cost of government," said Kenneth Adams, president and CEO of The Business Council of New York, Inc. "Reducing the cost of government is not only needed to end the budget crisis but to make our state competitive again and to free our economy to grow and create new jobs."
"The Blueprint shows that New York's legislative leaders could fix the budget problem by summoning the political will to take action to lower the cost of government. Many of the recommendations reflect the same critically important focus on reducing government spending that the Business Council has long advocated for," concluded Adams.
