Business students compete, advance in Fed Challenge

A team of economics and business economics students from SUNY Oneonta will advance to the semifinals of the 2017 College Fed Challenge next week after finding success during the preliminary rounds.

SUNY Oneonta's team traveled to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for the first round of the competition on Oct. 31. Forty-three teams competed, with SUNY Oneonta and 11 other teams advancing to the semifinals, which will take place Nov. 14.

Five students - Melissa Voyer, Heather Teichman, Carlos Salomon, Mike Deyak and Kevin Stearns - presented at the competition, while non-presenters and two students from the Economics Club toured the vault at the Fed.
