Advocates to Deliver Thousands of Signatures to Close Loophole, Squadron Pushes New Leader to Adhere to Senate Rules

NEW YORK, NY (05/27/2015)(readMedia)-- ALBANY – On Thursday, May 28, State Senator Daniel Squadron, Common Cause/NY and good government advocacy groups will urge Senate Majority Leader Flanagan to hold a full senate vote on S.60 to close the "LLC loophole."

WHAT:

Press Conference hosted by State Senator Daniel Squadron, Common Cause/NY and good government advocacy groups to urge a full Senate vote on Squadron's legislation to close the LLC loophole (S.60). Squadron will present a letter he wrote to Majority Leader Flanagan, which explains the latest Republican effort to block his bill. Good government groups will announce the delivery of several thousand petition signatures to the offices of the two State Senators who are preventing a vote on this bill to close the LLC loophole – Senator Ranzenhofer and Senate Leader Flanagan.
