POTSDAM, NY (07/20/2012)(readMedia)-- The Community Performance Series announces an opportunity to meet Belle and her enchanted friends! With a special ticket reservation made available through the CPS Box Office, children are given the opportunity to interact with the costumed cast members of this season's production of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast."
This limited engagement will run from 6 to 6:30 p.m. prior to evening performances from Wednesday, Aug. 1 to Friday, Aug. 3, and from 12:30 to 1 p.m. before the matinee performance on Saturday, Aug. 4. All events will be offered in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music.
Participation includes interaction with the characters on stage and the opportunity to receive an autograph on your very own copy of the production's poster. Following the event, each family will be sent a photo of their child with the characters on the set.
"The idea originated from our choreographer, Meaghan Manor-Janovsky, who thought it would be a great experience for the kids to meet the characters outside of the show. We decided to run with the idea and make it an event that would add nostalgic value to the live performance," said Meg Watson, marketing and education coordinator. "The community has been so supportive of our production, so we wanted to embrace this chance to give back. We look forward to the opportunity to get our audience members more involved with the show and our incredible cast."
Tickets to this event are $12 and space is very limited. For more information on how you can participate in this event or to purchase your performance tickets, please call the CPS Box Office for details at (315) 267-2277. Tickets to the performance are selling fast, so make sure to get yours soon so as not to miss this incredible family experience!
