CU director of church outreach begins as transitional pastor at First Baptist Church in Bowling Green

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (03/26/2015)(readMedia)-- Dr. G. Ted Taylor of Campbellsville University has been named as the transitional pastor at First Baptist Church of Bowling Green, Ky. He began his service with First Baptist March 15.

Taylor has served at Campbellsville University since 1994, where he is the director of FIRST CLASS, Church Outreach and Parent Relations, and is a professor of Theology.

Taylor has taught and mentored over 10,000 students, with over 1,000 commitments to Christ in and through his work in the classroom.

He has pastored all 22 years he has served at CU. From 1994 to 2006, Taylor served at Harrod's Fork Baptist Church and South Campbellsville Baptist Church, respectively.

Since 2006, Taylor has served as transitional pastor at Columbia Baptist Church, Campbellsville Baptist Church, Beacon Hill Baptist Church, Bardstown Baptist Church, and now he said he is "honored to assume the transitional pastorate at the First Baptist Church of Bowling Green."

"Over the past 22 years, it has been such a blessing and honor to serve at a university that remains steadfast to her commitment of Christ-centered education, church connectedness and an overall mission of changing the lives of students each day," Taylor said.

Taylor said, "CU embodies this mission through our work within Church Outreach and Church Relations, among other areas. Campbellsville University currently sends student-led life teams out multiple times each week to aid and assist the local church body.
