Campbellsville University Louisville Center to host 'Forum on Communication and Conflict Resolution' Aug. 23

Campbellsville University is hosting a "Forum on Communication and Conflict Resolution" with international citizens of Louisville at its Louisville Center (CU Louisville). The International Institute of Louisville, headed by Richard Top, originally from South Sudan, is coordinating the symposium.

Background: Louisville's international population is growing with nearly 35 Thousand foreign-born citizens now living in the greater Metro area. Many of these residents come from countries embroiled in conflict, are seeking a way in which to integrate themselves into the greater community and work with other international societies.

Participants Metro Louisville residents who have immigrated from countries of Africa and The Middle East. These include: Somalia, Sudan, Turkey, Kurdistan and other countries in the region.

What: A conference to help people mesh with the American culture and develop leaders who can tackle community issues.
