Campbellsville University to host Inaugural Brass Festival

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (03/28/2018) (readMedia)-- CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- Campbellsville University will host an Inaugural Brass Festival on Saturday, April 7 in the Gosser Fine Arts Center, 210 University Drive, Campbellsville, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Brass students from across Kentucky will have the opportunity to experience live brass performances and participate in brass master classes given by the Campbellsville University faculty and students, according to the Campbellsville University School of Music.

Two special guest artists, Mary Bowden, trumpeter of Seraph Brass, and Donna Parkes, trombonist of Seraph Brass, will also teach master classes.

High school brass students will also have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in a large brass ensemble during the Seraph Brass recital.

Two brass concerts will be at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Campbellsville Baptist Church. The admission fee is $5 which includes access to all activities and an entry into drawings for several door prizes.
