Campbellsville University to present Dr. Todd Borger for January Bible Preview of Malachi

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (07/06/2016)(readMedia)-- Dr. Todd Borger, associate professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C., will be the leader of the January Bible Study Preview at Campbellsville University Thursday, Aug. 4.

Borger will speak on "Malachi: Faithfulness to the Lord's Covenant & Teaching." The session will be from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the

Banquet Hall of the Badgett Academic Support Center, 110 University Drive, Campbellsville, Ky.

The preview is open to pastors and laypersons who love to study God's Word. Cost for the preview is $15 which includes a dinner meal from Brothers BBQ.

Borger served with the International Mission Board from 2003 to 2009. He also has served on the staff of San Bruno Chinese Church in California.

He received his Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His M.Div. is from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, and his B.M. is from the University of the Redlands.

Borger has published articles in several journals in the United States and Indonesia and book reviews for the Review of Biblical Literature and the Journal of the Evangelical Society.

His research interests include Bible translation, linguistics, Psalms and biblical theology.

Borger belongs to the Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Biblical Literature.

The study begins with registration at 12:30 p.m. until 1:20 p.m. when Dr. John Hurtgen, dean of the School of Theology, will give a welcome. The first session begins at 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Other sessions are at 2:45 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Final words and benediction are at 8 p.m.
