CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (10/22/2014)(readMedia)-- Campbellsville University's master of business administration program with a track in human resource management (HRM) has been named #16 out of the top 50 schools for online Master's Degrees in Human Resources by TopManagementDegrees.com.

Dr. Pat Cowherd, dean of the School of Business and Economics, said CU is honored to be so named. She said the ranking is determined by faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer assessment and tuition.

"Our MBA with an HRM Track includes an overview of compensation and benefits, human resource staffing and negotiation and conflict management," she said.

Cowherd said the HRM Track students work in such fields as hospitals, insurance companies, attorney offices, store managers, directors of large companies, university and college employees, entrepreneurs, etc.

"What they say that they loved most about Campbellsville University's MBA program is that it is affordable, flexible and customizable. You can complete the program totally online, or you can come to our campus to complete the program," she said.

She said students can choose from a number of customizable tracks with the MBA in addition to human resource management. These tracks include: church management, healthcare management, information technology, international business and marketing.

She said the courses are offered in six eight-week sessions per school year and are a 36-hour program with 27 hours of cores course and nine hours of electives or track course.

She said the courses have flexible scheduling where a student can complete one course per session and take two years to graduate or take two courses per session and graduate in one year.

Cowherd said Campbellsville University's MBA is professionally accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
