Campers Light the Night in Iowa State Fair Contest

DES MOINES, IA (08/27/2019) (readMedia)-- Pat Coughlin of Des Moines, Iowa, won Grand Champion honors and Most Number of Lights Used in the annual Campground Lighting Contest, judged Friday, August 16, at the 2019 Iowa State Fair. Pat earned free camping for the entire 2020 Fair.

Jim Carroll of Russell won Reserve Champion Overall, winning eleven free admission tickets to the 2020 Fair. Schaffer and Hoffman of Polk won showmanship. Most Original Entry went to Greg Watsabaugh of Humeston, and Dorothy Smith of Bloomfield earned the title of Best Use of State Fair Theme.
