Canandaigua resident Kate Weymouth wins outstanding student achievement award at Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, CT (05/13/2011)(readMedia)-- Kate Weymouth, a senior at Connecticut College, was awarded the R. Francis Johnson Prize in Religious Studies, which is given for outstanding achievement in academic study in religion. Weymouth was presented with the award at the annual Honors and Awards ceremony at Connecticut College on April 27.

Weymouth, a 2007 graduate of Canandaigua Academy, is the daughter of Roy and Deborah Weymouth of Canandaigua.

At the ceremony, Timo V. Ovaska, Hans and Ella McCollum '21 Vahlteich Professor of Chemistry, gave the keynote address. Dean of the College Community Armando Bengochea and Dean of the Faculty Roger Brooks also congratulated the students.
