Capital City Community Cease Fire Initiated This Saturday at 10:00AM

ALBANY, NY (09/09/2009)(readMedia)-- In response to yet another area shooting, there will be a community gathering Saturday morning at 10:00am, forming to initiate a gun cease fire in the Arbor Hill and West Hill neighborhoods. Community leaders and key city leaders are invited to work together immediately on this community cease fire. Mayor Jennings, Recreation Dept. Head John D'Antonio, and Pastor Charlie Muller will be working together to launch this major anti-violence campaign, pulling out all the stops to get key members of the community involved in canvassing these neighborhoods with gun buy-back material and letting the community know how they can get involved in helping to stop gun violence in the inner city.

Later that evening at 9:00 pm, former leader of the Miami Bloods gang will be sharing how he turned his life around with the teens attending the YMCA Gang prevention program with Cook Barrett, Pastor Charlie, Mayor Jennings and John D'antonio.
