Capital District Group Homes Christmas Surprise

ALBANY, NY (12/24/2021) (readMedia)-- Every Christmas children and teens in area group homes spend Christmas without a family for Christmas.

Over 20 years ago Victory Christian Church wanted to make sure the girls at st Ann's group home received a family Christmas.

Every year the church would spend Christmas Eve with the girls 60 people would go to St.Ann's and share Christmas with one of the girls. This became a family tradition for many of the families.

Last year because of Covid this was canceled and this year many of the girls have Covid and the church will have to drop off gifts for the girls.

This Year St. Ann's girls home,Lasalle boys home and Vanderhyden home for boys and girls will all have huge bags filled with all gift wrapped gifts. Over 900 gifts that include gifts that were requested be the girls at St. Ann's. Also over 50 pairs of Air Jordon,Labron James and Nike sneakers.

Because of Covid the gifts have to be dropped off with the promise that the gifts would not be open until Christmas Day.

When: December 24th. first drop off at St Ann's 9:30 AM, second drop off Lasalle Boys home 10:30 AM then at 11:30 AM drop off at Vanderhyden boys and girls home in Troy NY.

Custom filled Stockings will be handed out for every child.
