Carl Godon Honored at Western New England University

SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Carl A. Godon of Wilbraham received the Hoyt Warner Computer Science Book Award during Baccalaureate ceremonies at Western New England University. Lisa Hansen, professor of Mathematics and Computer Science, presented the award to Godon. The award is determined by overall grade-point average and an evaluation by the computer science faculty, who consider the student's potential for graduate study in computer science and the student's service to the department.
Godon graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science. He is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society. While at Western New England, Godon worked on creating color filters to aid visually impaired users in reading text with a web application called Gnome Cheese.
