C-N junior Kelli Anderson, a soprano vocalist, performed selections from a variety of composers during her junior recital.

JEFFERSON CITY, TN (02/25/2013)(readMedia)--  Carson-Newman University junior Kelli Anderson recently performed her junior recital February 22 in C-N's Thomas Recital Hall.

The soprano vocalist performed selections from Schubert, Purcell, Donaudy, Kirke Mechem and others. She was accompanied by Joseph North, staff accompanist.

The recital also highlighted the vocal skills of senior soprano Rachel Carmack, of Bulls Gap.

A brief reception followed the recital.

Anderson is the daughter of Mark and Vicki Anderson of Nashville.

Her junior recital was presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Bachelor of Music degree in music performance, vocal emphasis. Anderson is the student of Dr. Angela Holder.

Carson-Newman University is a private, coeducation, Christian liberal arts university. Founded in 1851, Carson-Newman is located in Jefferson City, Tennessee, among the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. The University has approximately 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
