Carthage students present chemistry research
Aubrey Brown '26 and Maya Stone '26 presented their chemistry research at the 2026 Emerging Researchers National Conference in Atlanta. Aubrey's research used NMR spectroscopy to study bio-based detergent molecules. Maya's project used computer simulations to study how natural products stabilize a protein. At the conference, Maya won an Outstanding Poster Award in biological chemistry. Both projects were supported by the National Science Foundation.
