Catherine McNamara of Westford, Mass. honored at Quinnipiac University awards ceremony

HAMDEN, CT (06/13/2011)(readMedia)-- Catherine T. McNamara of Westford, Mass. received the Outstanding Senior Award at Quinnipiac University's 28th Annual Senior Awards Ceremony on April 30. The award recognizes seniors who have distinguished themselves by their service, dedication and contributions to Quinnipiac.

McNamara was also the recipient of the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. This prestigious award is given to students who are outstanding in scholarship and leadership.

She also received the Beta Beta Beta Award. The biology honor society local chapter presents this award to the graduating senior, majoring in the biological sciences, who has attained the highest academic standing.

McNamara received a Bachelor of Science in biology during Quinnipiac's 80th Undergraduate Commencement Exercises on May 22.
