Champions Named in Iowa State Fair Hampshire Sheep Show

DES MOINES, IA (09/18/2019) (readMedia)-- Kjeldgaard Farms of Tekamah, Neb., exhibited the Champion Ram in the Hampshire Sheep show judged at the 2019 Iowa State Fair. The Nebraska farm also claimed the Reserve Champion Ewe banner and placed second in the Premier Exhibitor competition.

Rabbit Creek Sheep Farms of Elko, Nev., claimed Reserve Grand Champion Ram.

Bobendrier Hampshires of Pipestone, Minn., took home the Champion Ewe banner.

First place in the Premier Exhibitor contest was awarded to Bobendrier Hampshires of Pipestone, Minn., and third place went to Pullins Hamps of Waterloo.

The Premier Exhibitor award is given to the exhibitor who accumulates the most points based upon the day's placings.
