Champlain View Spring/Summer 2014 Issue

BURLINGTON, VT (06/10/2014)(readMedia)-- The 2014 Spring/Summer issue of the Champlain View magazine is now available online and in print. The twice-yearly Champlain College magazine focuses on "The Finney Years."

The cover story on President David F. Finney highlights the era of pragmatic change and leadership. As President Finney approaches retirement on June 30, to be succeeded by Donald J. Laackman, the magazine chronicles Finney's legacy through stories of those he's touched most: program directors, friends of the College, students, alumni, and more. There is an incredibly long list of changes that have been made at Champlain in the nine years under his leadership, each of what is highlighted in part of the feature section.

Readers will also find stories of various campus initiatives, internships and interests that turned into careers in the ski and ride industry, and profiles of former Student Government Association presidents, Fulbright Scholar-in-residence Rula Quawas of Jordan, innovative Career Advisor Mark Zammuto, as well as alumni Barry Main '04 and Maureen Goldman '04.

The Champlain View also includes recent awards, people in the news, class notes, and photos from BYOBiz's Elevator Pitch, wellness initiatives, and the senior class Trustee dinner.

The Champlain View is available online on Issuu at http://ow.ly/xQ5tL. At champlain.edu/view, readers can find many web extras, including videos, extended interviews and photo galleries.

Print copies of the Champlain View are available around campus and at the Alumni Office in the Miller Center at the Lakeside campus. To be added to the mailing list, contact the Champlain College Office of Advancement at (866)421-7170 or at alumni@champlain.edu.
