Dr. Christopher B. Howard, President of Hampden-Sydney College has been named to the President's Advisory Council of the Character Education Partnership (CEP) based in Washington, DC. The Advisory Council provides advice, information, and recommendations to the CEP President, Dr. Diane Berreth, on all aspects of effective character education for young people.
Character Education Partnership is a national advocate and leader for the character education movement that addresses not only academics, but also social, emotional, and ethical issues. CEP has the tools, methods, and strategies to empower teachers, parents, and community members to help schools achieve the important goals of character development. It is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonsectarian coalition of organizations and individuals committed to fostering effective character education in our nation's schools.
CEP's membership includes the nation's leading education organizations, and its board of directors is made up of corporate leaders and experts in the field of character education.
