Charles Meehan Receives a Linnaean Award from Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG, PA (11/01/2010)(readMedia)-- Charles Meehan, a Gettysburg College senior from Bel Air, MD, has been awarded a 2010 Linnaean Award. Winners are chosen by peers based on the recipients' efforts to improve the campus community, excellence in academic endeavors, and overall achievements during their college careers.

Meehan is majoring in physics. On campus, he serves as vice president of Student Senate, co-chair of the Senior Class Gift Committee, and a peer learning associate in the Physics Department. He is also a member of CHEERS and Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. His service activities include tutoring at El Centro.
