WHITTER, CA (11/21/2012)(readMedia)-- Whittier College seniors Charles Scicli, Kimble Tillman, and Dameron Fooks have been chosen to play in the 2012 All-American Bowl for the first time in their collegiate careers. The All-American Bowl has been held all across the country and consists of the country's top senior collegiate players. The All-American Bowl is set to take place on December 22 in Minnesota.
Transfer from San Jose State, Charles Scicli is Whittier College's linebacker from Palm Desert High School in Thousand Palms, California and received pre-season All-American honors as a linebacker. He leads the defensive unit of the team with 67 tackles, 37 solo and 30 assisted. He has also accumulated one sack, a forced fumble, recovery of a fumble, and has broken up one pass. Charles Scicli has started in all seven games and averages at 9.6 tackles a game.
Kimble Tillman is a running back from Cantwell Sacred Heart High School in Los Angeles, California and has accumulated an impressive outcome of 4 rushes for 30 yards and a touchdown along with 32 receptions for 550 yards and 8 touchdowns. He is opposed as a threat on the field as a kickoff specialist leading the team with 13 returns for a total of 283 yards, bringing in an average of 21.8 yards per return.
Originating from Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe Springs, California, Dameron Fooks is a transfer from Oklahoma State University but has recorded the best numbers of his collegiate career this season as Whittier College's wide receiver. He has proven himself as one of the most threatening wide receivers in Division III and a deep threat for the Poet offense. He has also started in all seven games and accumulated 38 receptions for 741 yards along with 6 touchdowns, averaging out at 105 yards per game and 19.5 yards per catch.
