MILTON , MA (05/17/2010)(readMedia)-- Curry College President Kenneth K. Quigley, Jr., is pleased to announce the following Waltham, MA resident received a Bachelor of Science degree on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Commencement ceremony in Milton, Massachusetts:

Richard J. Daniels, President and Chief Executive Officer of GateHouse Media New England and publisher of The Patriot Ledger and Enterprise daily newspapers, received an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree and served as Commencement speaker.
Suzin Bartley, Executive Director of the Children's Trust Fund, received an honorary Doctor of Public Administration degree.
Curry College conferred 830 degrees on students from 21 states and 2 countries, including 402 traditional undergraduate students, 297 undergraduates from the Division of Continuing and Graduate Studies, and 131 graduate students. Of the 699 undergraduates, 473 received Bachelor of Arts degrees and 226 received Bachelor of Science degrees.
Curry College is a 131-year old, private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth. Curry offers 20 undergraduate degrees as well as graduate degrees in business, education, criminal justice and nursing, with a combined enrollment of approximately 4,150 students. The student body consists of approximately 2,000 traditional undergraduate students, 1,650 continuing education and 500 graduate students. Curry College students come from 31 states and 7 countries. Over 1,400 of its students reside on the Curry campus. The largest majors are Business Management, Communication, Nursing, Criminal Justice and Education. The College offers a wide array of extra-curricular activities ranging from 13 NCAA division III athletic teams to an outstanding theatre program.
