Chester White Show Awards Top Honors at State Fair

DES MOINES, IA (09/14/2009)(readMedia)-- Tom Olson of Keswick captured the Champion Boar banner at the Chester White Swine Show August 21, at the 2009 Iowa State Fair.

Reserve Champion Boar honors were awarded to the entry from Jeff & John Broek of Sioux Center.

Craig Benton of Hornick won Champion Gilt honors while Bradly Hall of Alden won Reserve Gilt honors.

Ethertons Chesters & Spots of Troy, Kan. claimed the Chester White Premier Exhibitor title. The award is presented to the exhibitor earning the highest point total in individual breeding classes of competition.

Animals are divided according to farrowing date based on the other animals entered in the competition.
