Bumpus signing letter of intent
HERKIMER, NY (07/23/2012)(readMedia)-- Herkimer County Community College's softball player Cheyenne Bumpus, Munnsville, NY, a childhood education major, has received an athletic scholarship from The College of St. Rose, Albany. She is pictured here signing her letter of intent to attend St. Rose. Herkimer's women's softball head coach PJ Anadio said Bumpus was a member of the 2012 First Team All-Conference. She batted .377 on the season, driving in 26 RBIs to go along with 11 doubles, five triples and one home run. She was also a Rawling's Gold Glove nominee.
Anadio said "Cheyenne was clearly our Team MVP this year. She is the most selfless individual I have ever coached." Anadio said she'll be sorely missed. "I am extremely proud of what Cheyenne has accomplished, and the person that she has become," he added.
