Chicago Student Katie Moss Receives Performing Arts Award
RIVER FOREST, IL (05/14/2010)(readMedia)-- Katie Moss, a resident of Chicago's North Park neighborhood, has received the Sr. Gregory Duffy Performing Arts Award from Dominican University. A recent graduate of Dominican University, Moss received the award during the university's honors convocation on Sunday, May 2.
Moss was also named the Distinguished Senior in Theatre Arts during honors convocation. Each year academic departments at Dominican University nominate a graduating senior for special recognition within a major field. The student selected has demonstrated a distinctive and unusually strong level of academic achievement within the major field.
Just this past year at Dominican, Moss served as the assistant director and dramaturge for The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!). She also played the part of Lady Macbeth in William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Macbeth.
