Chicago resident Nicolette Cisarik receives Dominican's Outstanding Service Leadership Award
RIVER FOREST, IL (05/03/2011)(readMedia)-- Nicolette Cisarik, a resident of Chicago, recently received the Outstanding Service Leadership Award from Dominican University for her extraordinary service on campus and in the larger community.
Cisarik has used her creative photographic skills in service to West Suburban PADS by compassionately depicting the faces and lives of homeless people. She has conducted a community-based research project with Circle Urban Ministries on the benefits of after-school arts education. Cisarik also volunteered at Su Casa Catholic Worker House on the Southside of Chicago. She has also served meals at the Inspiration Café during the summer. On campus, she has participated in Alternative Spring Breaks, Student Leadership and Ministry, and the annual protest of the School of the Americas in Ft. Benning, GA.
