BRONX, NY (11/07/2007)(readMedia)-- Young volunteers of all ages will gather on Saturday, November 10 for a hands-on service project hosted by Children for Children at the Freedom Resource Community Center located at 455 E 140th St in the Bronx. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 1 p.m.
The event is open to the public and will provide youth of all ages the opportunity to participate in hands-on volunteering and giving.
“I volunteer so the world can be a better place,” said Jessica, 9, a volunteer at a recent CFC Service Project of the Month.
Volunteers will decorate bags used to transport meals to homebound senior citizens and cards with inspirational messages. Bags and cards will be used by various New York-based senior assistance organizations during the holidays.
