Christmas in the City

ALBANY, NY (12/21/2010)(readMedia)-- First- The container for Haiti will be loaded and shipped for the children of Haiti. The container will be loaded with, boats, motors, computers, gifts, water and medicine.

Second- 7 children's homes throughout the area will receive Christmas gifts. This includes girls at Saint Anne's, who do not have a home for Christmas. On Christmas Eve, Pastor Charlie, volunteers and members of Victory Church, will give 25 girls a Christmas they will never forget.

Third- Over the next three days, Pastor Charlie will be will load 4 trucks to deliver toys to children throughout the City of Albany on Christmas Eve.

This year as well, families from the men who are living at the Hospitality House in Albany, trying to get their lives right received presents for their children.

Ladies from the next step program received gifts, as well as 35 families from the Albany County Jail.

This year, Victory has a record number of children to take care of, with the last and most important program being served. That is dinner and gifts at the JC Club. From 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Christmas day, children will receive a hot Christmas dinner as well as Christmas gifts.

This year, the need is even greater. In the midst of these hard economic times, Victory Christian Church is trying to meet as many needs as possible. We are reaching out to the community for help with this marathon Christmas holiday. If you or your family would like to help out in anyway you can do so at the following locations:

Christmas Eve 8:00pm to 9:15pm at Saint Anne's 160 North Main Ave, Albany.

Christmas Eve 10pm until 3:00am we will be delivering toys throughout the City. Meeting at JC Club 63 Quail Street.

Christmas Day 3:00pm to 5:00pm Dinner and Gifts at the JC Club 63 Quail Street.
